  • Armand Musey founded Summit Ridge Group and has over 15 years of equity research, investment banking and consulting experience. Armand has completed dozens of financial valuation, strategic analysis, business development, corporate governance and business plan creation assignments in the communications industry and has experience working on numerous financing and M&A transactions. His involvement with a wide breadth of companies has allowed him to develop a deep understanding of a range of media and telecom issues and the complex web of relationships underlying the sector’s competitive dynamics and associated regulatory issues.
  • Prior to founding Summit Ridge Group, Armand led the satellite industry research teams for Banc of America Securities, and later Solomon Smith Barney where he also covered the wireless tower industry. He earned numerous honors as a research analyst including being named to the Institutional Investor “All American” team three times (2000-2002) and the Wall Street Journal “All Star” team. He was ranked the top satellite industry analyst by Greenwich Associates. He was previously president of a boutique investment bank specializing in the satellite, media and telecom industries.
  • Armand regularly speaks at major industry conferences and has been frequently quoted in leading trade publications and by national publications as an expert in communications finance and corporate governance. He authored the highly regarded publication The Spectrum Handbook 2013 and his recent industry research has been published in leading law journals. Armand is a member of the Federal Communications Bar Association (FCBA) and is a co-chair of its New York chapter for 2016-2017. He is also member of the New York Society of Securities Analysts where he chaired the Corporate Governance Committee from 2007-2009, the CFA Institute and the American Society of Appraisers.
  • Armand’s interests include classical music, post-modern philosophy, and mountain climbing. He served on the board of the Riverside Symphony (2008-2010) and as treasurer of the board of the Foucault Society (2005-2009). In 2008, Armand completed a longtime goal of climbing the highest peak on each of the seven continents (the “Seven Summits”), with a successful ascent of Mt. Everest.

  • Gina Sockolow joined Summit Ridge Group in early 2016 after a career as an equity research analyst and adviser to technology start-ups. Gina covered the data and telecom industries, with emphasis on Internet hardware, security and connectivity; then earned a MS in Accountancy while advising start-ups in new battery technology and digital media.
  • Previous to joining Summit Ridge Group, Gina worked at a technology hedge fund after leading the technology team at Buckingham Research, a pre-eminent research-only investment firm. Honors include Wall Street Journal “All Star”, Bloomberg, and Institutional Investor magazine awards, as well as being the leading provider of technology research to investment banks in the five year Wall Street research settlement.
  • Gina is pursuing a CPA and EA (IRS). She is a member of the NYSSCPA Estate and Tax Planning committee, the NYC Masters Swimming and a volunteer at a national non-profit tax preparation service for low income individuals.

  • Ron Clifton is a strategic partner and the Chief Technology Consultant for Summit Ridge Group. He is a seasoned hands-on executive with a wide range of operational experience gained from running a number of private and publicly traded companies in the international information and communications technology sector. He holds a BASc and a MASc in Electrical Engineering and  is a registered Professional Engineer (PEng). Ron also has significant M&A and restructuring experience on both sides of the table as well as extensive public and private board experience including audit, capital projects and governance.
  • Ron Clifton is President and Founder of CliftonGroup International Ltd, a C-Level management consulting company Prior to CliftonGroup, Ron was the President and CEO of International Datacasting Corporation specializing in broadband infrastructure including satellite networks and wireless ISPs. Prior to that he was President and CEO of Senstar Corporation, a Daimler Benz Aerospace company, specializing in high performance surveillance and security systems including VHF guided radar and fiber optic fence sensors. Prior to Senstar, Ron was General Manager and VP of Zenon Environmental Systems and, previously, was a Business Unit Manager at Computing Devices, a Control Data company.
  • Ron has extensive experience in media and entertainment, broadcast and telecommunications networks and is helping organizations transition from legacy networks to modern infrastructure solutions that are better able to adapt to the changing demographics, technologies, spectrum utilization and other emerging trends that are shaping the industry. A recent example assignment was as senior solutions architect for the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) where he led the transition from legacy satellite networks to a hybrid satellite and fiber optic network including a transition to file-based workflows, cybersecurity, cloud computing, service oriented architectures and digital media asset management.
